Kirstie

Kirstie Gallagher

Kirstie is in her second year of her Computer Arts degree and loves it. She is new to the exec but is looking forward to the year ahead. Being from the Highlands of Scotland, Dundee's all glittery and sparkly to her, and yes, it shows. She likes movies, especially obscure ones as she loves being awkward. Kirstie is a keen kayaker and studies martial arts. Having gained a purple belt in Shotokan karate she can be very deadly, especially around exam time! If you need to find her; she's that short, fluffy, kind of ginger thing that appears in Whitespace sometimes.

Ryan L

Ryan MacGillvray

Ryan is currently in his second year of Computing. He can be found nearly every Monday night in the union attending the Film society. His interests include gigging, Carbon in the hideout and playing his Xbox 360. He has recently joined the Students Helping Students programme and was a class representative during his first year. So if you see him hovering around the Union don’t be afraid to come and talk to him.

AmrAmr Nail

Amr is in his third year of his Biomedical Science degree. He enjoys hanging out out with friends and listens to a wide variety of music. He spends most of his freetime playing the drums which he really enjoys. Being new to the executive committe  and being a keen listener he hopes to talk with as many students as he can to ensure all views are being heard and considered. With his conspicous hair-do and lanky body, you will have no problems spotting him around the Abertay campus.

Exec Kim

Kim Rennie

Kim has just finished 1st year of her psychology degree but has decided it’s not for her and has jumped into 3rd year creative sound production. This is a more natural choice for Kim as she’s a freelance radio broadcaster with a huge interest in anything musical and a passion for unsigned bands. Kim is new to Abertay’s student exec but has past experience of the exec, after spending a full year as secretary while studying at Glenrothes College a few years ago. She also spent a full month promoting the Christmas night out which was a roaring success, mainly due to her unrelentless ability to tell everyone and anyone who would listen about the party.  Kim is full of enthusiasm and new ideas for Abertay and with her ever expanding list of contacts and a fantastic team to be part of, she has no doubts that this year’s exec can reach all its goals. You can easily spot Kim as she’s the tiny woman with the huge voice usually somewhere in the lounge or library. She’s also just bought the coolest shoes ever so look out for a tiny pair of purple spotted shoes with demented teddy bears on the front, which have a distinctive mighty boosh feel.

Uncle SamYou?

In order to fill the remaining UADSA Exec position, a by-election will take place in the first semester. This is an opportunity to help in the general running of the students’ association and exec officers will be able to gain experience through a diverse range of roles in areas of welfare, clubs, societies and entertainment.

Further information relating to the by-election will be made available via E-mail and the UADSA website.
